North County Police Blotter: Two men attack each other on Norwood Road in Jupiter

Palm Beach Gardens Police

VEHICLE BURGLARY

A man staying at a hotel in the 4300 block of PGA Boulevard said his new work boots and the insoles he had just bought were stolen out of the trunk of his rental car. The man was adamant that he had secured the trunk latch. Police could not find any signs of forced entry to the vehicle or any fingerprints.

STRONG-ARM ROBBERY

A security guard at a store in a shopping plaza in the 3100 block of PGA Boulevard recognized a woman who had been previously warned against trespassing. The guard called the police who intercepted the woman, who said she didn't remember being told she could not patronize the area . Police arrested the woman for trespassing and issued her a notice to appear.

HOME BURGLARY

A thief cut through the screen door of a porch at a residence in the 4200 block of Golfers Circle East and stole a bicycle and skateboard. A kitchen knife was later found in the front yard. Police found no fingerprints on the screen door or knife .

Jupiter Police

HOME BURGLARY

A man's home in the 100 block of Apollo Circle was burglarized while he was away for a week. Police could find no sign of forced entry, and believe the perpetrator(s) entered the home through unlocked garage doors.

VEHICLE BURGLARY

A woman's car was broken into while parked near the intersection of Marcinski Road and A1A. A window was pried open and her purse was stolen from under the passenger-side front seat. The total value of the purse and its contents is $100.

ASSAULT

Police were called to the 100 block of Norwood Road after a man said another man attacked him and knocked him to the ground. When officers arrived each man gave conflicting statements and there were no witnesses. Both were given advice regarding battery charges.

North Palm Beach Police

TRAFFIC ISSUE

A fuel truck with no driver was left in the middle of the 300 block of Northlake Boulevard. After motorists notified police, an officer found the driver who had left his truck there while he walked to an ATM.

THEFT

Two iron tables and five iron chairs were stolen from outside a restaurant in the 400 block of U.S. 1. An employee arriving at work in the morning discovered the theft and called police. Police interviewed a worker at the only business that was opened and was told that the tables and chairs were there when she arrived three hours earlier.

A man reached behind the counter in an office in the 700 block of Northlake Boulevard and attempted to grab a money bag before fleeing. Officers found a man matching the description given to them by the receptionist . When confronted the man said he was looking for a dentist and that he had been in only one other office building in the area. He said he left that office because they said he was stealing. As the officer continued to question the man he kept making spontaneous statements that he didn't steal money from that lady. The receptionist identified him as the suspect, and he was arrested.
