Pensioner dies after car hits concrete bollard in Swansea
An 80-year-old man died after his car hit a concrete bollard in Mumbles, Swansea, today.
The incident took place in the car park at the rear of Boots the Chemist in Oystermouth Square, Mumbles at 9.30am.
The man’s Silver Vauxhall Corsa was about to leave the car park, when the driver was taken ill at the wheel and the collision happened.
The driver, a local man, was treated at the scene by passers by and the ambulance service, but died a short time later at Morriston Hospital.

Ardgour School and Nursery Fete
On Saturday 4th June, the school and nursery held a summer fete. The weather was kind to us – sunshine and no midges. We managed to raise over £800 for school funds. Thank you to the Parent Council for organising the event and everyone else who helped out and contributed on the day. Also a massive thank you goes to the local Ardgour businesses – Luke Alexander, Inn at Ardgour, John MacKay, Ardgour Stores, Shaun Corrigan, Alistair Maclean, Strontian Fire Station, Boots the Chemist in Fort William and Wynne the Butchers in Fort William. Thank you all for such a successful day.
