Country Playhouse hosts hair-raiser for Locks of Love

The Country Playhouse theater group is hosting a "hair-raiser" for Locks of Love at Beautique Day Spa Salon, 701 Town & Country Blvd, 77024, 713-464-2953

The fundraiser is July 1 to July 30.

A Hair-Raiser for Locks of Love is being hosted by Country Playhouse to celebrate its upcoming summer musical Hairspray (show details at countryplayhouse.org ). Hair donations for Locks of Love will be collected from July 1 to July 30, 2011 at Beautique Day Spa Salon at 701 Town and Country Blvd. Houston, Texas 77024 (713-464-2953) Hair donors receive a Country Playhouse new season T-shirt.

The community is invited to make an appointment at Beautique Day Spa Salon to donate hair, which will be cut and collected by the hairstylists then sent to Locks of Love. Wigs are created and donated to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. The prostheses Locks of Love provide help to restore self-esteem and confidence, enabling these children to face the world and their peers

Donated hair must be a ponytail or braid at least 10" long, unbleached, clean and dry (dyed or permed hair can be used).

Monetary donations to Locks of Love are tax deductible.
