In July and August, the Carnival of Venice will splash down in Tai’an Fantawild Adventure Park.
The park will be decorated in an exotic style and filled with Italian performances. Tourists will also enjoy group dances with masks, which have always been a central feature of the Venetian carnival, body sculptures, body paintings, the Venice water carnival, Venice concert, Venice dance, clown performances, and Italian food.

This annual event is not only the biggest and most famous carnivals in Italy, but it is also one of the oldest. Legend has it that the carnival – effectively a gathering of masked people – began some time between the 14th and 15th centuries.
What used to be restricted to cloaks and long-nosed masks has now become a rainbow of colour, with all manner of beautiful costumes and brightly coloured, ornate Venetian masks, decorated with lace, feathers and sequins on display.
The two week fashion show culminates in the prestigious best mask competition - la maschera piu bella fortnight, tourists can expect a huge opening party which takes place in St Mark’s Square amid much merriment, music and dancing and many different celebrations every day from then on. This includes the Children’s Carnival, historical enactments, parades, live music from around the world, 19th century-style entertainment and opera.
However, nothing beats the Il Ballo del Doge , the masked ball. Set in the Palazzo Pisani Moretta on the Grand Canal, this events has been one of the top ten things to do in a lifetime. Guests arrive by boat and are greeted by dancers, acrobats, jesters and musicians who proceed to entertain and delight all.
After a delicious dinner, the dancing begins and does not end until the early hours. It has been said that this ball is like a fairy tale, one that no one ever wishes to forget.
