Tonight is Day 10 of Top of the Park, the popular, free (donations welcome) outdoor happening featuring music, movies, kicking back, running into friends, and a variety of other attractions.

Each day in cooperation with the Ann Arbor Summer Festival —which presents Top of the Park as well as main-stage ticketed events—AnnArbor.com is publishing a rundown of the night's happenings. Here's an overview of tonight's schedule, followed by a more detailed look at the events and attractions:

With their debut release, "Feel Like I’m Home," Lake Folk’s "charmingly sincere brand of acoustic wonder" blends roots music, traditional, alt-country, and rock to form their “dark, bizarre, and wonderful” twist on indie-folk they call roots noir. Whether energetic and driving, dark and sorrowful, or bittersweet, Lake Folk’s soulful lyrics and distinct arrangements tell stories from the past and present that leave the listener with no choice but to be drawn in. Read a feature story on the band from last fall. 1925, unrated, 93 minutes: Tonight's movie is a special event. The newly restored Baird Carillon, located in Burton Memorial Tower, accompanies the 1925 silent film classic "The Phantom of the Opera” in a not-to-be-missed outdoor spectacle and site-specific screening. Based on an adaptation of the Gaston Leroux novel of the same title, the film features Lon Chaney in the title role as the masked and facially deformed Phantom who haunts the Paris Opera House, causing murder and mayhem in an attempt to force the management to make the woman he loves a star. This special screening will feature an original score written and performed live on the carillon by Steven Ball with accompanying soprano vocals by Juliet Petrus as part of the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Baird Carillon. As described by the festival, "An interactive area for our youngest concert-goers, the Kidzone tent provides a fun and safe area for children and their parents to discover and explore a wide variety of hands-on activities with different community partners. From getting temporary tattoos, creating homemade instruments, or jamming out rock band style, KidZone offers different nightly activities for families at Top of the Park. Open nightly ‘til 8:00 pm.
